The castle from the 15th century houses a museum dedicated to this magnificent historic sight which belongs to the Shkodra Historical Museum. Opposite the museum entrance is a relief presenting a female figure sacrificed in a famous legend. On the ground floor is an archaeological hall with exhibit presenting all the phases of life in the castle (from the early Bronze Age until the 20th century), and on the first floor are exhibits from the medieval period until modern times, such as maps, manuscripts, paintings, collection of arms and handicrafts.
