On Thursday 2nd May, 2013, was opened the exhibition ‘The Rovinj batana and batiel – the tradition of a creation’, also dedicated to the 29th International navigation regatta Pesaro-Rovinj-Pesaro.

On Thursday 2nd May, 2013, in front of the Yacht Club Maestral was opened the exhibition ‘The Rovinj batana and batiel – the tradition of a creation’, also dedicated to the 29th international navigation regatta Pesaro-Rovinj-Pesaro.

 

The exhibition is a journey through the aspects of the world concerning the building of the batana and batiel, two boats that not only have made the history of maritime and fishing tradition in Rovinj, but have also represented the last inheritors of the numerous traditional boats built in little local shipyards.
